Individual & handmade VINTAGE & ROCKABILLY JEWELLERY
Jewellery is not just jewellery. It is an expression of style, individuality and character. Jewellery is joie de vivre, experimentation and a declaration of love. Jewellery is affirmation and a statement. And sometimes all of this can be put in the limelight in an eye-catching way. That's why our jewellery can also be called statement jewellery - eye-catching and original.
ROCKABILLY JEWELLERY - COLOURFUL 50S ACCESSORIES
Earrings
Our range of earrings is huge and varied, but yes, we still make everything ourselves. In doing so, we are always on the lookout for special materials. Many of our jewellery pieces are vintage inspired, so we use clay flowers or acrylic resin that is close to the bakelite of the 50s. We like to use old collector's toys to make extraordinary statement earrings. Bamboo and rattan are used as well as sparkling gemstones or plastic fruit.Necklaces
If we're going to make earrings, then we can't do without matching necklaces. Whether as a pendant on a pearl necklace or dangling from a link chain, our colliers (they tend to be worn short) set great accents.Jewellery Sets
You can save real money when you buy our sets. The earrings come beautifully packaged with either a fascinator or a necklace. Here, too, you can choose which clasp your earrings should have. Our mini fascinators and matching earrings make the perfect gift.
Flower Brooche / Corsage
Our great flower corsages let a blaze of colour blossom on your lapel. You are spoilt for choice between large flower bouquets and small bouquets. They all have one thing in common: they are multifunctional and can also be worn as hat flowers and/or hair flowers.

50S JEWELLERY - A SMALL RETROSPECTIVE
The history of jewellery is as long as humanity itself. Even in the Stone Age, people adorned themselves with shells, snail shells or bones. It is surprising, but in ancient times earrings were mainly worn by men. The ecclesiastical clergy, nobles, kings and the well-heeled upper class always adorned themselves with ornaments made of gold, silver, platinum, pearls, ivory and precious stones. Especially in times of war and economic crises, jewellery and precious metals were also used as a means of payment. In post-war Germany, jewellery from private individuals was demanded by the Allies as reparations. Ladies still wanted to adorn themselves, but it had to be affordable. New materials in jewellery processing entered the fashion world as early as the 1920s - costume jewellery was born (at that time it was not yet a term that stood for rather inferior jewellery). Even before the legendary Coco Chanel made costume jewellery really socially acceptable, it was the great French jewellers who came up with outstanding creations with decidedly avant-garde designs and did not even stop at the use of new plastics.
BAKELITE
Plastics made it possible to produce jewellery from Bakelite, Lucite or soft plastic. Although soft plastic was produced in Germany, it enjoyed great popularity, especially in America. These were not showpieces that women bought new in those years, they were accessories that above all conveyed the feeling of having something new, of being able to keep up with fashion again. With the change of the new, modern era, daring people wore eye-catching, large ear jewellery creations.RETRO & EARLY MERCHANDISING
A major factor in the popularisation of costume jewellery was Hollywood films. The leading female stars of the 1940s and 1950s often wore these pieces to help sell them. When Bette Davis wore a necklace in "The Private Lifes of Elizabeth and Essex", a copy could be purchased. Stars such as Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor and Jane Russell became advertising icons for the jewellery industry and large department stores such as Woolworth made it possible for ordinary women to own and wear such jewellery.
